Our story starts in Southern California, where founder Wayne Steimle set out to build a swimming pool in his own backyard. When he couldn’t find a reliable contractor, he rolled up his sleeves and did it himself—hiring students from his physics class to help during summer break. That one pool led to requests from neighbors, and soon, California Pools was born.
From those humble beginnings, we’ve grown into a national network of local builders, each one dedicated to upholding the standards that set us apart: integrity, accountability, innovation, and teamwork.
